Aye, aye Kapten...

I recently caught another male Io Moth who, unlike the previous one, was totally without any shame - showing his eyes to all who cared to glance his way. Have a look, I thought I'd share him with you - he's alright isn't he...

  3. Re Giant Leopard (Frippery Noodlings)- Well woz it a caterpillar?I tried to find it in my North American webworm encyclopedia but no joy.I thought there might be a bunch of them?I have been reading this blog every now and then over the years and tried to find moths in and around an old dissused outhouse in an overgrown corner of my yard.No luck as yet but I did extract both a Scorpion and a small Toad last fall.An old budy of mine made a makeshift moth attracting box with some old Ply and a strong lightbulb but unfortunately on the first night he tried it out it rained and he was electrocuted.Strange really as he got a first in applied electronics at Harvard so i'd have thought he might have done a better job?Hope for an answer soon about the Leopard?
